     child labour has been sought in the country since the nineteenth century when factories first made an appearance.A child labour is preferred to an adult because childern are more active,quick in movement and amenable to discipline.Besides,childern,in most of the industries,provides the same productivity as adults.They are recognised as a means to lower overheads and increase profits.Because of pitiable low income parents are also compelled to send their childern to earn a livehood.They even sell their childern exchange them for money or pledge them as bonded labour.Statics reveal that 87% of the childern in ruiars area and 88%in urban areas work due to proverty.Thus,child labour is not purly a medium of exploitation.Abject proerty has made it a necessary evil.
